School of Vocational and Technical Education

1. Brief Introduction
The School of Vocational and Technical Education was established in 1999. The total faculty member is 30 and student number reaches 4,155 up to August 2007. It has the following majors:
Petrochemical Production and Technology, Well Drilling Technology, Petroleum Extraction Technology, Field Applied Chemical Technology, Petroleum and Gas Geologic Exploitation Technology, Engineering Surveying and Supervision, Urban Fuel Gas Engineering Technology, Numerical Controlled Technology, Solder Technology and Automation, Electromechanical Integration Technology,Oil Refining Technique, Accounting and Auditing, and Logistics Management.
2. Introduction of Specialized Fields
(1) Petrochemical Production and Technology
Main courses: Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Principles of Chemical Engineering, Chemical Separation Engineering, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Petroleum Refining Engineering, Petrochemical Process, Basic Chemical Plant Machinery, Enterprise Management, Organic Chemical Engineering Manufacturing Techniques and Chemical Engineering Design and so on .
Future employment possibility: manufacturing technique operating, technique management, technological transformation, product quality monitoring, technological design, engineering design and new product developing and so on in the enterprises and departments related to petrochemical engineering, petroleum refining, organic chemical engineering, and fine chemical engineering.
(2) Well Drilling Techniques
Main courses: Engineering, Collage Chemistry, Theoretical Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, Engineering Fluid Mechanics, Well Drilling Machinery, Geology of Hydrocarbon Reservoir, Reservoir Physics, Well Logging Theory and Applying, Drilling Instrument, Drilling Fluid and Completion Fluid, Well Drilling and Completion Engineering, Reservoir Protection Technology and so on.
Employment orientation: practical operation of well drilling of the exploring, exploiting and manufacturing of petroleum and gas, and applying and management of related techniques of new technologies of well drilling.
(3) Petroleum and Gas Exploiting Techniques
Main courses: Collage Chemistry, Theoretical Mechanics, Engineering Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer Theory and Mass Transfer Theory , Production Machinery , Production Instrument, Well Logging Theory and Applying, Geology of Hydrocarbon Reservoir, Reservoir Physics, Safe Production and Emergency Treatment of Field, Technical Economics and Project Management, Theory of Enhanced Recovery, Oil Recovery Engineering, Gas Recovery Engineering, New Technology of Oil Recovery, Well Test Analysis and so on
Employment orientation: practical operation of exploiting oil and gas, applying new exploiting technologies on the spot and management of related techniques.
(4) Oil Field Applied Chemistry
Main courses: Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Principles of Drill Mud Technology, Principles of Chemical Engineering, Basis of Petroleum Geology, Oil-field Applied Chemistry, Efficiency Analysis for Chemical Technology, Mud Testing Technology, Simple knowledge of Drilling and Recovery Process, Technology of oil and gas protection and so on.
Employment orientation: oil and gas chemical technology on the production of petroleum and gas exploitation and some involved departments.
(5) Petroleum and Natural Gas Geologic Exploitation Technology
Main courses: General Geology, Mineral Rock, Paleobiology Earth Layer, Sedimentary Petrography, Structure Geology, Simple Knowledge of Petroleum Engineering, Seismic Exploration, Geophysical Logging, Petroleum Geochemistry, Petroleum Geology, Reservoir Characterization, Oil-field Geology and so on.
Employment orientation: the geologic date acquisition and analysis on the production of petroleum and gas exploitation.
(6) Engineering Surveying and Supervision
Main courses: Graphing of Engineering, Construction Works CAD, Architectural Mechanics, Building Material, Engineering Surveying, Simple Knowledge of Architectural Designing, Building Equipment, Construction Technology, Foundational Principle, Reinforced Concrete Structure and Monsary Structure, Principles of GPS Surveying, Simple Knowledge of Oil and Gas Construction Engineering, Engineering Constructional Supervision, Project Budget and Bids, Economic Contract and Management, Architecture Law and so on.
Employment orientation: all sorts of skilled documents of construction projects, manage the engineering contracts and information, project budget, constructing and surveying and supervision on situ, skilled matter and design the general constructional technology.
(7) Urban Fuel Gas Engineering Technology
Main course: Graphing of Engineering, College Chemistry, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Fluid Mechanics, Pyrology Basis, Metal Technics, Metal Erosion and Protection, Pump and Compressor, Meter and Automatic, Fuel Gas Quantity and Control, Fuel Gas Production and Purity, Fuel Gas Combustion and Application, Fuel Gas Transportation Engineering, Urban Ration Engineering, Fuel Gas Engineering Construction and so on.
Employment orientation: fuel gas transportation (long transportation pump line, city integrated ration gas) engineering construction, marketing, management and maintenance and technological innovation.
(8) Numerical Controlled Technology
Main courses: Basis of Mechanical Designing (elements and principles), Fundamental of Mechanical Manufacture, Hydraulic and Electrical Driven, Technology of Mechanical Manufacture (including fixture designing), Microcomputer Interface Technology, Sensor and Testing Technology, Controlling of Machine Tool and Electrification, Failure Diagnosis and Maintenance of Numerical controlled Machine Tools.
Employment orientation: technology and manufacture of machinery elements in petroleum machinery profession and general machinery factory, machinery manufacture graphing by computer, designing of machinery and engineering equipments and technological innovation. Especially, designing program and manufacture of Numerical Control and install, debug and diagnose failure and maintain of machinery equipment
(9) Solder Technology and Automation
Main courses: Graphing of Engineering, Mechanical Design Fundamentals, Material Physical Chemistry, Metal and Heating Processing, Principles of solder, Principles and Application of computer, Solder Electrician and Power, Technology and Equipment of Solder, Solder Structure, Function of Material Solder, Principles and Means of Solder Testing, Petroleum Storage and Equipment and welding and so on.
Employment orientation: petroleum or big machinery manufacture profession for wielding, maintenance and management of pump line and storage equipments or general machinery manufacture and large type metal material welding.
(10) Electromechanical Integration Technology
Main course: Basis of Mechanical Designing, Basis of Mechanical Manufacture, Hydraulic and Electrical Driven Principle & Interface Technique of Microcomputer, Sensors and Testing Technology, Electric Force and controlling, Electromechanical Integration Equipment , Diagnosis and Maintenance of Electromechanical Equipment, Principles and structures of Numerical Controlled Machine Tools.
Employment orientation: installment, debugging, running, maintaining and managing of the electromechanical equipments, designing program and operation of numerical controlling
(11) Oil Refining Technique
Main courses: Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Principles of Chemical Engineering, Chemical Separation Engineering, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Petroleum Refining Engineering, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Foundation Experiment, Produce Practice.
Employment orientation:supervision, craft and engineering design of the reformation, technocracy of the production technique, technique to the petroleum chemical engineering, the petroleum related business enterprises such as refining, organic chemical engineering, medicine chemical engineering, fine related business enterprise of the chemical engineering.
(12) Accounting and Auditing

Employment orientation: auditing of enterprise and institutions, accounting job, associated accounting of accounting affairs office, budget and final accounts, and auditing, mainly in petroleum and gas enterprises.
(13) Logistics Management
Main courses: College English, Advanced Mathematics, Writing and Speech, Public Relation, An Introduction of Economic Law, Marketing, An Introduction to Corporate Manage, Business Negotiation, Essentials of Statistics, Electronic Business, Information Technology and Logistics Manage, Logistics Equipment Application, Material Flow System Engineering, Material Flow Centre Plan Designing, Modern Logistics, Manage of Purchasing and Stock, Supply Chain Manage, Transportation and Ration.
Employment orientation: modern logistics management, maintenance, scheme and ration in oil-field construction, communication transportation, post office, airline, architecture, business trade, some logistics management departments as well as the public enterprises and institutions.
